Pros

A good rinse and cautiously using a cleaning brush around the blades, i am satisfied. The blender is still a pain to clean and that is the only reason why i haven't given it 5 stars.

Endless fun, fab taste and health for all. It's simple and i can eat much healthier.

It's great for making soup, ginger (and other root) tea, and smoothies. I sometimes have chunks of banana (how could it not blend a banana? The greens blend beautifully. I use garlic, onions & ginger is my soups but also wash the machine carefully... Read More

Cons

The oster reverse crush counterforms blender is a marketing gimmick and nothing more. The blender is too tall to fit in any of my cabinets, so it has to be in pieces for storage. A hand mixer is cheaper, smaller, lighter and much more versatile.

The sbc-1000 doesn't do a decent job of chopping up soft fruits and vegetables, or blending in ingredients. The engine is very weak and fragile. A soldered in fuse instead of a fuse, or a kill switch! Ice jambs the cutters and stalls the motor.

Big downer is smell and taste of burning electrical wires. Worst of all is the lingering taste of plastic. It ruins the soup, taste and health wise.

Quality

I did have trouble with the first one (just stopped working; don't know why) but i sent it back and they sent me a new one at no charge.

We are very happy with this soup maker blender.

Price

I am impressed with all this can do and the price i was able to purchase it with was incredible through brad's deals.

Packaging/appearance

The recipe book that comes with it has two of the receipes i like.

Clean/rinse it immediately to not let food dry on the glass.

Competitiveness

Far cheaper than a vitamix and it has been in daily use and holding up fine after 10 months.
