Very simple to install they just hook into your taillight power no splicing no cutting no permanent alteration

This does work well on a chevy cobalt but i ended up cutting and splicing two of the wires on the new harness as i did not want the wireset outside the trunk

Since we have a pair of wires going to the drivers side and a single wire going to the passengers side if you pull back the white ground wire it was quite simple to cut these poke through a tiny hole cut in the plastic plug seal with rtv silicone and then using buttspliceheat shrink reconnect the cut wires following color coding

I routed the new harness wiring down low behind this plastic beauty panel quite easily poking the connector just to the passenger side when the beauty panel is snapped back into place its held by 6 or 8 snapclips that fit into corresponding slots inside the trunk
