Pros
Very beefy and strong. I prefer us made but taiwan has acceptable quality and honesty about specs.
These are for my car hauler trailer safety chains which are also 1/2” in diameter. These links do a good job of making it easier to attach and detach the safety chains on my f250. Fit great on my 2021 f150.
Made hooking my safety chains from my trailer to my truck so much easier. There are two schools on safety chain/cables to your trailer, in case the hitch fails. This clip is mega strong and made my rv chain hookup a simple snap.
Cons
The description claims to have a 16,500 pound brake strength when the project is actually stamped 3300 pounds. Must have fallen out in shipping. More of a knock against amazon and there warehouse practices.

The max opening is restricted by an intentional deformation in the ring and it is smaller than i think it should be

I could not fit the mating chain loop through the opening and had to file off the feature to be able to spin the clasp further up the threads to make my connection

There are two schools on safety chaincables to your trailer in case the hitch fails use something cheesy that will break away anyway and let your trailer go where it may or use something that absolutely will keep your trailer attached no matter what

When completely screwed closed its like a solid link so no matter what happens back there these links will not fail

The screw component works very smoothly and i give it a slight cinch with a wrench to make sure it wont back off at all

I also spray some silicon lube on it to be sure it will not bind up

We dont know who designed the bracket on the f150 where you attach a trailers safety chain but im sure they have caused tears and frustration with many couples
