Pros

Product looks great, is sturdy and seems to be constructed well. It fits well and is rather sturdy. It's awesome, no problems there.

The curt trailer hitch is a well constructed, heavy steel frame which attaches to a 18 & 19 vw tiguan suv. The hitch attaches through the frame of the car onto the bumper. This is mainly for attaching a bike rack.

Got this for a 2019 tig with 3rd row. It fit my 2021 vw tiguan like a glove! Installed this on my 2020 tiguan.

The instructions say that it takes a novice about 30 minutes to install for the first time. I feel that would be accurate if i had known about needing to apply upward pressure to the actual metal bumper in the instructions. Very easy to install, will ... Read More

The hitch is plenty stout to handle more than the car is rated for.

I have 2- issues though: 1st) the hitch needs to be about 1/16 - 1/8" wider to easily fit around the subframe rails.

The car has some kind of rubbery protection layer around the frame which makes it difficult to just slide the tow bar into place.

Packaging/appearance

Hitch was banged up just a bit because amazon packaging was unbelievably bad.
