Installation Ease
Customers have reported an effortless installation process for the Curt Manufacturing Class III hitch on their Volkswagen ID.4, with some even completing the task themselves within a short time frame. The ease of installation was facilitated by reusing existing bolts and clear instructions.
Highlights
Quality
Easy install reusing the bolts from smalee oem receiver.
25” receiver and replace with the new 2” receiver, install bolts and torque as per accompanying paperwork.
25" receiver would not take the 2" hitch bar needed for heavier e-bike.
I believe the id4 does not come adapted for a trailer hitch like this unless it is the awd pro s, so check before you buy.
Competitiveness
The german spec for the id4 awd is 3150 not 2700 like in the us and canada.
