Really happy with this device so far. I hope this little issue helps someone else. They are amazing.
Cons
Reviewer says it is worse to use than a surge protector. Power goes out and it shuts off instantly. Now it just shuts off randomly and no battery backup.
Tried letting it air out for two weeks, smell still persists. Support window for it was about 7 months long, so i have no recourse but to toss it and move on.

Battery last abput an hr to an hr and a half for me.
Power was out for 2 hours and the router and network kept running.
Price
I also was able to charge my cellphone from about 10% without depleting the bank.
That's honestly not bad for what i paid for it.
It works great and good value for the cost.
Shipping
I now have my router, modem, pc, table lamp plugged in to this ups.
Competitiveness
They are reliable and cost less than the other brands, but still work well.
I got this backup to replace another brand device that has never met my expectations.

The doorbell is the biggest problem because it doesnt always reconnect itself to the wifi network after a power failure

So after making numerous trips to my motherinlaws to troubleshoot her ring doorbells propensity to fail i decided the best fix for the situation was to do what was possible to keep her wifi router from going offline thus disconnecting the doorbell
