Pros & Cons
Pros
For what you pay, it's excellent. Works awesome. Extremely happy with the product. Overall, this is worth the $42.
The cable is nice and long. I have this going from my ups at the bottom to the rack so maybe only 12 inches of cable needed. The extra long cord is also very beneficial as the deak raises and lowers.
Comes with mounting hardware for the rack, and make power distribution much cleaner. Maybe this is a feature and not a bug as it saves some space in the front of the rack.
The build seems good. I like the flecked paint on the unit that gives it a black-on-black textured look. At night, that yellow light is brighter than the others but thats okay.
Plenty of outlets, a nice long cord (it was overkill for my setup, but still great that they have it), and the plastic protective cover over the power switch. Nice touch to prevent accidental switch presses.
Cons
The pdu is cheap, but makes some compromises to get there. It has not been verified as a surge protector. That's a pretty serious flaw. An advertisement is an implied contract between the seller, the buyer, and the manufacture.
Highlights
Quality
Would buy again, but because of the quality, i dont think ill need to.
Quality unit that will support your home or business equipment rack installation.
Deducting a star because the paint job is so bad.
Price
Still, two sockets up front would be an added convenience, but the price was right for this one, and the more “convenient” rack... Read More
Shipping
As others have said in their reviews, this product is not shipped in a proper shipping carton.
The box isn't taped shut either, so it could easily come open in shipping.
Packaging/appearance
The manufacturer should redesign their packaging so that it secures and protects the product.
I only have a few very minor complains/comments: 1) the packaging is poor - mine must have been handled carefully, but i can se... Read More
Competitiveness
Using this pdu with a cyberpower cp1500pfclcd ups and been rock solid for my monitors and pc.
My racks are powered for 240v 30a pdus, but then got stuck with a 110v only appliance in there, so the cord length was nice to ... Read More
It's supposed to be some roughed up tough paint look or something, but instead it just looks like it was painted with a gunked up sprayer.
It would be nice if the switch cover wasn't a cheapish cover, it does detract from the overall quality of this.

It could stand to have at least two sockets on the front

It’s odd that most rackable power strips are made with all the sockets on the front
