Pros & Cons
Pros
What i like most about it is that it is approachable. Sometimes you're on the mood for a board game that is not a brain burner or an ap (analysis paralysis) prone beast. It is very fun and offers a lot of choices. I always feel like i wanted to do mor... Read More
The versatility and replay ability are well worth it. It has enough variety in the base game for many replays and has tons of potential for expansions that could make the game endlessly re-playable.
Lost ruins of arnak is a fantastic board game that offers a unique blend of deck building and worker placement mechanics. The game can be played solo or with up to 4 players, making it an excellent option for both casual and experienced gamers. Except... Read More
Cons
Cards are rough on the edges. Tokens been punched. Manuals been roughly handled. What’s infuriating is it's an international order thus making the return impossible.
Highlights
Quality
🎬final take:the exciting theme, quality components, and mesh of mechanics drew me to this game.
In fact every piece is made of really top quality stock.
The deck-building component is heavily lacking, unfortunately, and the ability to create exciting combos wasn’t satisfying enou... Read More
Games are hot for a few weeks and often disappear after one or two plays.
Price
I got it for $60 with amazon prime.
I even saw someone selling metal compasses and coins for $22.
I wouldn’t pay more than $70 for it though.
A year on, i'm still surprised that this doesn't have an insert, and getting one can cost you the price of the game again unles... Read More
Shipping
To amazon's credit, they shipped me the replacement quickly and at no cost.
Packaging/appearance
Amazon and affiliates have been mostly excellent in packaging my purchases.
This game was packed poorly and the box was damaged because of it.
However, when i opened it up, it was just an empty box with no way of storing the items carefully.
Packaging is minimum and have dents around the corners.
Competitiveness
My favorite thing to do is be the first one to pull ahead of the other expedition teams on the research track.
People compare this game to dune imperium (because they both have worker placement and deck-building) but really better compari... Read More
Quality seems at least as good as comparably priced games of 60ish dollars and the design of this one on looks alone would make... Read More
