Pros & Cons
Pros
These strings help to elevate the beginner to the intermediate level. The only downside is that because it's so responsive it requires more care when playing. These are perfect for any level of player!
Warm sound, pliable. T tuning is cajun fcgd.
The strings sound more full and less tinny than the original set. The strings are thicker and richer sounder. They have a certain clarity that sounds more like the artists i'd like to imitate.
Cons
They feel weak and brittle. Hopefully there is an violin/fiddle out there that these strings compliment but it's sure not mine.
Highlights
Quality
Good quality strings for a great price.
They have a lovely warm sound, free of the nasal quality one encounters in so many budget priced strings.
I had no idea the difference new strings of higher quality could make.
The quality of sound, projection, response, everything is so much better.
Price
The price is very reasonable for students.
Great strings at a good price, always a win.
Shipping
No, but they are dang good, especially at $21 with prime shipping.
Packaging/appearance
These ascenté violin strings sound great right out of the package, they break in quickly, and they stay in tune for a long time.
Competitiveness
I purchased three sets to restring my violins.

Probably my inexperience on the instrument but one of these strings broke at a seemingly low tension and thicker strings labeled as higher notes was confusing and unintuitive
