Cut your cables an inch anad ahlf longer than you need and once they go bad youll be able to just trim off the bad end

First if you dont cut the cable ends perfectly flat they wont seat in the connector and its useless

Next if you dont keep the cable perfectly straight when torquing down on the set screw it may pinch at an angle causing an uneven seat and a crappy cable

Lastly when using the cable always handle the connectors not the cable

Any messing with the cable may cause it to unseat from the connector and you guessed it useless cable
