Pros

If you're going for old school sit in the pocket sounds these are a fine option. Big plus is that i'm not scoring the fretboard with the stock roundwounds that came with my fretless. Ibanez mikro is so much easier than a 34 scale bass and it still sou...  Read More

Cons

There is a lot of cloth wrapping between the ball and the metallic part of the string. Even if you put the cloth wrap on the nut and put the string on the guitar the metal part does not reach to the nut. Makes it impossible to set up the instrument.

Defect rate is just unacceptable. For $30, i really hope i can get this sorted out with daddario. Not worth the price whatsoever.

Competitiveness

I recommend them to those interested in a set of flats that are lower than the more traditional, heavier tension, but more tens...  Read More

These are so different than regular round wounds.

To be fair though, i have never tried any other flatwounds.

But ive found that to be the case with most flatwounds.
