Pros & Cons
Pros
Light gauge works fine on a jazzmaster, great on a tele. They are also much brighter in tone in comparison to the flatwounds. Great for es-semi hollow or hollow bodied guitars.
Great sound, not as shrill as round wounds or ernie's. The only downside is that you can't get singles of the wounds. Overall, this set is an excellent choice for a jaguar.
These are now my favorite guitar strings. A more versatile string with a wide range of tonal qualities.
Harmonics are a bit muted, but string noise is nonexistent. Like using metallic brake pads and wear on the rotors.
Highlights
Quality
Nice strings, i did not want them to be bright so i am happy.
They worked really well for the noise, but then i also fell in love with the sound and the feel.
Shipping
Also, the free return shipping, on most orders, ain't bad!
Competitiveness
Much more comfortable and lower-tension than flatwounds i think.
Brighter than flat-wound but way duller than wound--splits the difference.
They much less fretbuzz in down doom tunings than round-wound imho.

If you like the sonic character of nickel wound strings but not the rough feel of the wound strings then get these half rounds

Nothing that special to be honest i guess theyre a little easier on the fingers and if you play an acoustic or in a recording situation theres less noise from changing chords etc etc
