Pros & Cons
Pros
They sound great and they feel great. They are tapewound, so they are not bright by any means, but definitely thumpy! They have a lot of midrange and they bring out the sound of the stingray nicely. Great sound but really helps in your finger health. ... Read More
Cons
The information in the item description is very incorrect. It's very frustrating to have paid for new strings and then have one of them unravel before i even got it installed. How many people start using labellas or pyramids or stringjoy and then say ... Read More
Highlights
Quality
The strings are very good high end quality.
These strings are well made, have a nice mellow sound and are very easy on the fingers.
Developing good fretting and plucking technique when you’re coming from guitar is a slow process, these are much more forgiving... Read More
They strings are super flexible which makes bending the strings very low impact.
Price
I was looking for a warmer less metallic sound, these did the trick at a decent price.
Yes, i really they cost about 1/4 of what my bass costs but hey, it sounds good to me.
Very expensive but they dont make black beautys in short scale.
Shipping
Didn’t see many reviews outside amazon on these specific strings but they were the only ones that can be shipped to my country.
I placed my order on january 7th, and it arrived on january 18th.
Amazon promptly sent me a replacement set free of charge in under 48 hours.
Competitiveness
There is much less string to string variability than i get with rotosounds.
They do the job for less dough than that other brand with the italian sounding name.
Don’t know how they compare to labellas.

The only downside is that the thread wrapping near the ball end made the strings too thick for the holes in the wooden stringthrough bridge

As the bass was brand new i didnt want to widen the paths for seating the strings with a drill so i had to do some cutting of the thread to narrow the diameter enough to pass it through

Some minor surgery later all works well but im not looking forward to restringing these eventually

I tried many types of flatround strings for my ibanez fretless but just wasnt getting the nuanced sound no matter my equipment settings and bass settings

Plus the low e string should fit most nuts without having to enlarge the slot

These strings in my opinion are just tailored for fretless basses and fretted ones too if you want that big round james jamerson sound but they will articulate beautifully if you dial up some treble
