Pros & Cons
Pros
The quality and craftsmanship of these strings is outstanding. They have the same specs as the originals on a godin 5th avenue guitar. The only strings that i’ve not used are stringjoys. They are great for prs guitars.
They are particularly great on blues especially on a semi hollow body. They stay bright way longer than the folks with the paper packaging.
No more worrying about muting or adjusting; these strings feel like an extension of your own hands. Bright and snappy to warm and mellow. These bass strings are my go-to set for my fender jaguar.
Cons
The d'addario's do not perform as they say on the packaging. I feel like maybe it was a bad batch or stored improperly by the retailer. Do not buy these.
It keeps snapping while detuning. If they don't even last through tuning, what use are they. All the strings are jumbled together. That’s why i switched to rotosound!

Competitiveness
I was pleasantly surprised, and i have switched three guitars over to d’addarios.
I would have to say that d'addario offers a unique sound and tone that you don't find with many other brands.
For many years, i used slinkys, because they were the cheapest brand name american stings available, and i don't really care ab... Read More
