Pros & Cons
Pros
Hagstrom pups make these strings ring through my peavey ultra 120 heads with stock peavey 4x12 sheffield loaded cabs. I have a hagstrom viking deluxe baritone guitar and these are what come on it, and what hagstrom recommends.
Tried these after learning john mclaughlin uses them. Seem to stayin tune pretty well. I have locking tuners on the modern, and even after a few days they stay in tune.
Cons
The d'addario xt acoustics on the mitchell are horrendous. All the strings are jumbled together. They have lots of fret noise and are frankly just hard to play fast.
High e string snapping easily. It keeps snapping while detuning. Gauge strings are not going to be better than the 10 gauge.

Packaging/appearance
Out of the pack they have a really nice, bright sound, and the intonation is excellent.
Competitiveness
Been playing them for 40 years, good quality/price ratio.
These strings shine over and above others imho!

I used to make these strings for the fluids exactly they had little clips on them instead of having to cut off the ball ends or stick a plain end into the floyd and clamp it down i dont know why they stopped making them but i havent been able to find them for years

If you play 9s you have to have noticed the unevenness especially on the floppy b string

Would be a shame if you only played standard gauge your whole life and had no reference or reason to appreciate them
