Pros & Cons
Pros
As advertised, they are bright and warm. Not too bright, not too dark. Lengthwise they are good too.
Exl125's are perfect for metal/rock/jazz and detuned tunings like drop c. These strings are great if you want strings that stay in tune and work well with a capo. Using the wound 3rd string greatly improves overall intonation.
Make sure to stretch your stings after installing to maximize being in tune. They hold up well, have good tone that lasts, and retain a good feel for a long time.
Cons
The acoustics on the mitchell are horrendous. It keeps snapping while detuning. If they don't even last through tuning, what use are they.
The strings are all a month old from the same guitar center. All the strings are jumbled together. Will never buy strings from amazon again.
Highlights
Quality
Quality is excellent and objectively better than martin or ernie ball.
No problems with the ones i bought here on amazon.
I've had bad luck with the ball ends coming off the high e string, but they were from my local music store, so it may have been... Read More

Great sounding strings at a great price can’t go wrong dario
Great price point (i guess these can't be shrinkflated).
Packaging/appearance
The packaging was super easy to understand, it came with color coded strings and basically told which string goes where.
Competitiveness
D'adarrio might cost a few bucks more than most of their competitors, but you're getting quality and a sound that will make you... Read More
Just as good as any of the others at the price point.
Dean markley cryogenic treated are my favorite, however, i will always be a loyal d'addario customer.

My stringing method is to measure just passed the next tuning machine head cut at that point pull the string back so that about 1834 of string protrudes and wind with one turn over then the rest under method to secure the string

I then stretch the entire lengths of the strings

I do not like the really light strings on most electrics

The strings themselves are ok but 34high strung34 tuning and 34nashville34 tuning are not the same thing

A high strung set should have a normal g string rather than the octave string used in nashville tuning
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
If daddario is going to label this set as both they need to include the extra g string in the set
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Of course all that is highly subjective so it doesnt mean much

Any new set of strings is better than the set youre removing and i can see why some people would favor daddario
