    Could be due to humidity but i seem to remember dominant strings lasting longer and they usually fray at the fingerboard first and dont come unwound whereas these strings just broke and were unplayable

    It is taking a while to break in the higher strings but i only have a fine tuner on the e so maybe thats why the a is really bugging me
