Pros & Cons
Pros
The tone is surprisingly warm, and it has a sort of smokiness that i was not expecting. The tonal quality is greatly improved. These strings are resonant and with a warm tone.
Larsens are a good next step up for the high strings. They seem very durable, hold tuning well and sound magnificent. Great for just practicing.
Lightest tension means pressing down is achieved with less effort. Playing pianissimo is amazingly easy to accomplish. Medium tensions definitely resolve the problem of projection.
I am pleasantly surprised. If you are looking for nontraditional tuning/strings or interested in the tenor violin of the violin octet, this is a pretty nice string.
Cons
The return window is 30 days, but this defect showed up afterward. Bad quality control. Will be exploring alternatives.
