Pros

These are the best sounding strings on my mcpherson sable carbon fiber guitar. Great sound on a fender f15 and a martin d-16r. I prefer the sound of the martins over elixir so hopefully these will last longer than regular non coated strings.

Great sounding, relatively cheap, and very fun to play. Only gripe is that the hi e will end up sounding tinny as it degrades, which prompts an immediate change. Overtone is very smooth to tune.

They're really awesome.

Cons

The sound quality is good, but the durability is poor. Within a few weeks there was a noticeable dulling of the sound. Unlike elixirs, these strings are not worth it.

Last a long time, stable, stay in tune, sound great and quality is there so you don't have to worry about breaking a string.

Packaging/appearance

The packaging was nice, they arrived promptly, and they were in great condition.

Competitiveness

I like the exp coated version for longevity better than the competition, but the coating does impact the tone a tad.

I have trusted d'addario strings for some time, they are well-made strings, but this was somewhat of a disappointment.

To sounding just like a high end taylor or a or a freakin martin !
