The wifi is moot now, because the gps doesn't work then it doesn't need the wifi for maps. Which means the navigation is busted. The interface is confusing and 6 weeks later i'm still trying to work out the best option.

It is the second android head unit i have owned the other was a pile of rubbish should have been called not doing it lasted 3 months and stopped working the other company were not interested in sorting out the warranty so i blew my money lesson learnt

An update from atoto fixed thisjust installed the latest update which has fixed night mode in android auto and the unit now dims properly when the head lights are onthe hidden menu and password should not be hidden there is some important settings in there like volume gainmake sure you get the serial number off the back of the head unit before installing it its not on the box and you need it to register the head unitthe time widget displays the date in the wrong format for my region new zealandthere is no bluetooth music widgetthe bluetooth music app is terrible in appearance but works well has a sine wave could be made to look a lot more professionalwould love a spotify app like my old jvc was a fantastic feature but probably not possiblethe unit has no other bugs that i have come across and is a solid performerbut heres the game changer i now use a device called aawireless with it android auto wireless

Customer service where very easy to deal with and they couldnt do enough to help get me a new unit and reimburse me for the postage for sending the old unit back to them

Getting the update firmware is a bit of a task with qr codes etc would be nice if it was all just an easy to use website

Atoto s8 standard s8g2a74sd supports wireless android auto once update would be nice to see a way of choosing between two devices on what phone gets broadcasted to the atoto but unsure if this is just how wireless android auto works
