The forestock is a bit more substantial on the red ryder as well. Loved giving 6 yr old grandson his first (dearly desired) gun.

The range is lacking accuracy for point targets is about 30 feet for targets up to 60 even 80 feet old kentucky windage will get you there with a little plug and play by 80 feet youve lost much power but to scare dogs at that range it works for me

I had this bb gun before and i broke it but i bought a new one and it takes a bit to break it in may if it had mounts for a sight the iron sights just aren’t it

Always fantastic but i noticed the newer ones dont have the fiber optic sights anymore which is sad or im remembering incorrectly but im pretty sure the one i used to have had fiber optic

Its the perfect size for a small kid although my son who is 6 cant pump the rifle safetly himself and needs my help but thats ok because he needs tp be older before he can use it unsupervised
