Yes, this thing has riflings in the barrel. I love that it doesn't require a co2 cartridge.
Cons
The new 880 is very slow to load. Only a small tube inside for the pellet and the barrel that appeared to be cheap metal. Using straight pellets for this will frustrate users. I recommend just using bb's for this one.
The thing feels like a nerf gun and the best accuracy i could get out of it is about 12 at 80 feet. The scope is junk and doesnt click to help zero it, just rotates with no indication of moving the zero.
Returned to amazon and back to researching. Packed it up and sent it back for a refund. Now, several months later, original problem is back, but workaround doesn't work. Returning mine for something better.

Quality
Although some of the parts that daisy made of metal originally they have all been very durable, dependable and very accurate.
It's pretty easy to pump, light weight and able to hit targets further out than you might expect.
After finally getting the sights adjusted, the screw was incredibly tight, it's shooting straight.
I already have used it on the occasional garden slug or spider and it is ridiculous in its ability to fling/instantly disable a pest.
Price
The price for 500 is quite the bargain at the current time, and have been very accurate in our rifle.
For the price, this one is really hard to beat.
For the price this is a bargain.
Decent value even though it's about 1/2 the price of my 22 rifle!

I just cleaned and replaced the seals on a 1984 daisy 880 and it shoots as good as brand new.
Sadley, i find that these 880's are more accurate than my $300 hatsan and gamo break barrel air rifles.
Rear sight is not great,but ebay sells a peep sight for the red ryder,which is excellent.
