I have use a mat before however it was thicker and as a result it didn’t lay flat without some effort

Update 19may2018 the edges have started to fray and i simply snip the little bits off with scissors but thats not ideal

I had an old plastic baking mat that i used for years for rolling out dough but age and wearandtear took their toll and it cracked
