Pros

Easy to sharpen and clean; cuts through everything like butter. And it’s a sharp *. The blade is easy to re-sharpen to a near-razor edge.

This one had a few shout outs from some reviewers that have yet to steer me wrong. Favourite knife to use.

I love how this knife is styled. It has a different shape from other knives. It is superbly weighted. Lightweight but sturdy.

The handle is a great fit for a medium sized hand and ambidextrous. The handle fits perfectly in my somewhat oversized hands. For an average sized hand, it’s great, but my hand is a bit larger than average.

Price/performance combo is pretty great. Not super great for delicate cuts but great for garnishes and veggies. Only reason i caution the beauty of this siren is for its ability to be so sharp, it can slice through time.

Cons

On my 4th use of this knife, the edge bent sideways or chipped on jalapeño seeds. I was cautioned regarding purchasing knives from amazon. The edge is too fragile and it will chip cutting root vegetable.

I went with the dalstrong santoku black shadow series.

Stick with the gladiator series if you want a more durable blade.

Price

I also feel the price is a bit steep for a knife at this quality level.

It’s is easy to hold, sharp and unforgiving, and the price was ok.

If they drop it, it won't cost them alot to replace it.

Packaging/appearance

It came in very nice packaging that would be great as a gift.

Crazy sharp right out of the box.

A few minutes on my stones corrected the problem.

Competitiveness

I had been curious about dalstrong knives.

:) it is sharp 10 out of 10, just the case for the knife be careful won't be tight as other dalstrong knifes.

Pretty sure moses used a dalstrong staff to part the red sea.

So i am by no means a professional chef/cook.
