A lot of money for a paring knife, regardless of the steel it's made of.
You are paying for an awesome looking knife.
I've purchased entire sets of damascus steel blades that were equally good for less than the cost of this one knife.
The price of the knife boggles me.
Packaging/appearance
I get the package, and well - props to the company; the packaging for this is really nice.
The box this comes in has a printed paperboard sleeve you slide off, then you have the matte-finish printed magnetic lid box with no pull.

Right out the package you can tell it's high quality.
