Pros
The quality of this cleaver is outstanding. The craftsmanship is definitely good. We always get compliments when i bring this beauty out - it is worth the money just for the compliments!
Controlling the weighty knife was almost effortless. Very substantial, but not unwieldy. Sharp and very well balanced, it just screams of quality.
The wide blade really facilitates moving chopped veggies into a pan or wok, and also works great for flattening veal and chicken filets. I'm a prep cook, and this knife literally cut my prep time in half.
The gladiator series breaker knife is razor sharp. After five years the blade has never yet chipped or rusted. I definitely recommend (as does dalstrong) getting a whetstone.
Cons
This cleaver is easily the worst edged item i've ever purchased. Huge gap between the habdle material and the tang makes it feel like its cutting into your hand. If you try to cut through anything the blade cuts away from the item.

This cleaver was designed to finely chop and scoop large amounts of vegetables.
Just what i needed, sharp, sturdy, good size for scooping up chopped ingredients, and a good feel in the hand.
I turn the cleaver sideways and crush garlic or green onions, so the cleaver has multiple uses.
It came razor sharp so no reason to do anything but use it.
Price
It is not cheap, but a good investment for someone who will use it daily in the kitchen.
Packaging/appearance
It was made and packaged really well.
It arrived razor sharp (could easily slice sheets of paper) and in beautiful packaging.
The pin that is included in the well-packaged set is a bit of a gimmick.

Its works just fine on small jobs but to really appreciate it take it to a whole chicken and you will have it in separate pieces in very short order
