This knife is amazing! What a difference when making carne asada & taqueando. Makes prep work a breeze. Worth the money just for the compliments!

It's for turning a boneless ribeye into steaks. Great knife for cleaving through tendon and bone. Curved edge means you can quickly chop food with the knife down using it as a lever.

Heavy, it cuts/chops through meat easily with no effort, nice feeling on the hand, looks solid, time and use will tell.

An excellent cleaver made with care, well balanced and easy to handle.

Heel and spine have sharp 90 degree angles that start to rub pretty bad with continued use (if using chef grip).

Make no mistake, this knife is for cutting up big things.

Price

An extremely capable tool at a great price.

We always get compliments when i bring this beauty out - it is worth the money just for the compliments!

I really wish i could afford the set.

Whether it was a 5 star value for the money, i have no real idea as yet.

Packaging/appearance

I was even impressed by the packaging.

Very high quality packaging and an outstanding sheath with a tethered pin to hold it in place to protect the blade when stored.

Very nicely presented, classy, but no where near ostentatious.

Competitiveness

The steel is superior to sabatier blades that just lost their edge too quickly in my opinion.

If you are looking for a knife to cut vegetables a chinese cleaver will be better.
