Pros

Love this chefs knife. Very nice wooden sleeve with magnet for placing on knife rack. Ps, my chef calls it the knife from the future.

Bought as a gift for a fellow fishmonger. Highly maneuverable. Beautifully packaged in a heavy silver box.

The knife has a sleek handle. The handle is thicker than some may anticipate. Takes getting used to the hollow handle, sharp.

The knife is lightweight and cuts well. Factory sharpness is pretty good. I use it to trim briskets and cut steaks from roasts.

The blade has an excellent spine thickness, and very nice taper down to the edge and point. The sweep of the kiritsuke means that slicing and chopping motions are as smooth as the motion of the ocean.

Cons

A cheaper bread knife slices through bread better than this knife. Not worth the money.

Packaging/appearance

The knife was razor sharp right out of the box.

This thing came extremely sharp right out of the box.

Blade is way to short but the sharpest knife out of the box maybe ever in my life.

Competitiveness

I'm totally a dalstrong fan boy now, i wish they would release a crusader set id love to review those.

I love my dalstrong knives i have quite a few of them best one yet.

I havent bought a dalstrong knife that i disapprove of.
