The shogun series is pricey, but you pay for quality and this brand/series is among the best. Damascus knives are usually extremely expensive, these are a steal! Proud to own and will be proud to gift.
These knives are beautiful, durable and razor sharp. High quality stainless steel, excellent balance, i. Excellent balance. My walmart knives gets the sinthetic and bamboo cutting boards.

It's just too heavy and clunky for my hand.

The controllability of this knife makes it very easy to wield and translates to beautiful and accurate cuts.
Materials and construction are of the highest quality.
Sinthetic is one of the worst for a high carbon steel knife.
After just over a year of use was the first time i had to sharpen it and it's almost a nother year and still sharp.

Either the ‘halves’ were closer to 13 and 23 or i had to cut one end off to get it to sit flat enough to stably cut

With a hardness of 62 i know it could chip easy so depending on what im cutting determins how i cut with it i berly hear it hit the cutting board in any way that im cutting
