Pros & Cons
Pros
When i need something cut that requires fine control and sharp serration, this is the one. Ordered another serrated paring knife from this line for making pineapple boats. This is a well made knife with a blade shape that is not found in many cutlery ... Read More
Like the thickness of the handle - serrated edge - weight. It is so easy to hold, well balanced and cuts beautifully!
Blade is perfectly honed. Comes with instructions for sharpening on a wet stone. Of course it's sharp - it's a paring knife.
This is my second dalstrong knife and i have no regrets. It's a good knife in all aspects, however dalstrong keeps making the same mistake. I am as pleased as i was with the first. I have an extensive dalstrong collection and this one is equally as go... Read More
Cons
The $20 pure komachi set from costco does a better job straight out of the package. The handle is excessively large and clunky for a paring knife. Definitely dissatisfied with this product. Won't be buying from again.
Highlights
Quality
I am very happy with the purchase.
Delivered in extremely nice display boxes with quality sheaths.
Packaging/appearance
The knife is good, particularly for tomatoes, but cut down on the wasteful packaging.
As sharp as needed right out of the box.
The packaging, box, ribbon and enameled pin was over the top and not necessary.
The packaging is a bit overdone i didn't need the pin or instructions double boxing or little wipey cloth lol.
Competitiveness
I'm a dalstrong lover and professional chef i love this knife and carry it with me in all of my knife bags.
This is the fourth dalstrong knife i have purchased and like them all.
I was just out here to buy my husband a dalstrong cleaver, and realized i had not left a review for my serrated paring knife!
A company that values its image more than its own profit.

The first inch or so near the tip was sharp enough but the rest was not sharp enough to cut a lime without a lot of effort
