Pros & Cons
Pros
This works really well. These knives kick *! My jr.
The price is very competitive, which by the way is exceptional. It comes in a very nice box (i'm a geek for these things) and has a nice blade cover. Very durable. Easy to maintain.
The dalstrong santoku is definitely sharp and the divots on the side are a nice aesthetic while also possibly helping with cutting veggies. Wonderful knife to slice fish with, swordfish and tuna especially. Decent knife own the large meat slicing knif... Read More
Santoku chef's knife is a versatile addition to the kitchen. It's nicer than any of our other kitchen knives for which we paid at least twice the price.
Cons
I'm genuinely rather unimpressed with this knife especially at the price point. It's not very comfortable to work with and it is not ergonomic.
Both knives are dull. After 3 months of very limited use its as dull as a butter knife. The blade is extremely sharp but feels and looks flimsy. The wooden handle on mine isn't flush with the metal spine, so there is a sharp (not knife edge sharp) met... Read More

Packaging/appearance
The quality is very good and even the packaging is perfect.
Competitiveness
I purchased this knife for my wife to replace a santoku knife from another brand.
It is heavier than the previous brand but has a better feel.

After a quick tuning with the steel i could drop a tomato onto the blade from about 18 and slice it in two
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Take that tomato place it cut side down on my cutting board and take paper thin slices off of the tomato
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I used to think this was trick photography and that the tomato was actually secured down

I can do this with my santoku without batting an eye
