Pros

Love this knive. Happy with this knife in all aspects.

Good quality, sturdy, and easy to handle. Seems to be great quality for the price. Based on the replacement, which is also the basis for the revised review.

Comes in a beautiful box--good for gifting. Comes with an excellent;ent protective cover. Very nice blade protector for safe storing.

Used it to cut hundreds peices of bread/sandwiches with ease. Cuts through homemade bread effortless. Cut bread without swishing it.

I'm sure my original knife would work great in softer crusted breads. The blade is sharp and catches hard crusts.

Cons

The serration is shallow and dull out of the box. The blade is thick and bevel cut on one side only. The handle feels too small for this size knife and the * of the knife actually has a sharp edge that is uncomfortable to hold.

Not smooth, crushes the bread because of required pressure. It got stuck in the crust, shredded the bread, and couldn't get through the bottom crust. Knife bounces around on the crust and is therefore dangerous.

It sits unused in my drawer. They even send you a * lapel pin.

For the high price, i thought it would be razor sharp.

Packaging/appearance

Heavyweight - kind of over the top packaging but works perfectly.

Only problem was the tip of knife was getting stuck onto the cutting board.

Used it this past week in a commercial kitchen cutting hundreds peices of bread/sandwiches with ease.

I am a fan of dalstrong knives and have never had an issue when any of the ones i own.
