Pros & Cons
Pros
Super sharp, it glides through with the “granton” reliefs that are ground into the blade to minimize sticking. Beautiful with damascus etching. Perfect for sushi, fish, and a lot of other things too.
Cons
Poor quality of what they call damascus. Curve down the entire length of the blade. Back it went without testing the durability of sharpness this blade.
Highlights
Quality
I have had good quality knives for 25 years.
It will be your dalstrong shogun series slicing/carving knife for the rest of your life… enjoy cooking, amazing.
Adjusting from previous 7 inch to current 12 inch carver style knife took less than a week and i already noticed more wrist mob... Read More
The blade itself is made from a beautifully hammered damascus steel.
Price
It’s absolutely worth it, you are worth it!
Flank steak is such an inexpensive cut that i will pay for this knife in no time!
Great for the money but not the bet by far.
It's a little pricey, but worth it.
Shipping
It was a gift for my son and arrived on time.
The customer service agent returned my email within a couple hours, and had me send in a picture of the knife.
Packaging/appearance
I almost think that the packaging is what attracted me to these knives.
The packaging is gorgeous and makes a great presentation as a gift.
I’m a simple guy and their over the top packaging, while nice, doesn’t make a knife work better.
Competitiveness
It is better than many knives several times the price.
Also how it compares to a mid tier home cook knife.
