This knife is part straight edge knife, part serrated blade and the rest is a long spreader all built into one.
Price
It's nice to be able to have such a nice knife for a very affordable price.
Great value as it holds it’ own next to my super soi·gné japanese beauties.
(as you can see, they are not inexpensive!
Considering what you get, i think it is a very good value.
Competitiveness
I previously bought the ceramic-coated honing rod, and the omega series paring knife.
I've used about 6 different dalstrong knives and i think this one's my favorite.
This puts all my other knives, that aren't the same brand to shame.
Will keep buying other knives in the shogun elite series.

If this is your first sharp knife experience like it was for me you are going to get yourself inevitably and even a light brush of this knife cuts skin like butter

I like the knife but the handle is noticeably shorter than my other dalstrong shogun knives

Of course its great for cutting all things but it glides through soft vegetables and feels good to use
