The danby dehumidifiers remind me of my first japanese car - loaded with pleasant surprises. I would highly recommend, it's a workhorse.

Pint dandy runs almost constantly in the basement. My garage is drier than my house which runs about 50% in the summer. The garage is 24' x 22' with a 10' ceiling and is insulated and dry walled.

Filter is easy to remove and clean. It sits right ont he back of the unit so it will be easy to see when it need to be cleaned. Normally i empty this twice a day since i have it in the basement and it fills completely in about 16 hours. It's a bit awk... Read More

If i had to review the shipping and the communication from the company that shipped it, it would not be 5 stars.

Machine works great, had a little bit of a problem with shipping with one broken part but the manufacturer sent me a new piece.

Competitiveness

Replaced a 12yr old hampton bay (home depot brand) unit that finally retired.

This dehumidifier replaces an ancient off-brand machine that would only ice up.
