Keeps me warm in the cold, and helps me wick moisture in the hotter days. My feet with these socks are snug like a bug in a rug. These things want to conform to your foot and they conform very comfortably.
No they're not these socks are fabulous. These have fantastic cushion, and a great fir.
They're expensive, but they're worth every penny. They're comfortable and come with a lifetime warranty. Their warranty is first rate.

Not sure why these are made differently that the other over the calf styles such as mountaineering and the westerner which stay over my calf all day

These particular socksi bought 6 pair so its not just a fluke with one individual sock look more like a crew sock length after they are washed
