The socks form to your feet so sizing is important. Even if your feet get soaked and you step in a puddle, these socks tend to keep your feet warm even if soaked. They fit (height-wise) in between an ankle sock and the really low heel height socks.
These tactical socks feel great and are well cushioned without the bulk look. The t4033 and the mountaineering are the best socks i've ever owned. Am exploring minimalist packing & slowly accumulating gear.

Can't beat the quality or the warranty that backs up the product.

Included these bad boys in my sock rotation-my feet sweat and thus sadly plague me with the shoe funk.
Price
Yes, the initial price is a bit more than other brands, but look at cost/wear and the value is impossible to deny.
Bottom line, i don’t know if id recommend these at the price they’re at.
This preference goes counter to marketing/ cost saving.
Packaging/appearance
If it doesn't then buy the sock off of the darn tough website so you can get the warranty.

I just finished sending back the last of my coolmax 1/4s, all of which developed holes.
The top of these are tight like a well made tshirt neck.

The price that you see is for 1pair which seems very expensive for socks

That is right if these things wear out get holes lose elasticity or get damaged for any reason you can send them back to darn tough and get them replaced
