Durability
Customers rave about the durability of Darn Tough Merino Wool Hiking Socks, with many reporting that they have worn them for hundreds of miles without any signs of wear and continue to do so. The lifetime warranty is a major selling point for customers who value long-lasting products. Some mention the socks are pricey but worth the investment.
Comfort
Customers highly praise the comfort of these hiking socks, with many stating they are the most comfortable socks they have ever worn. The wool material is noted to be very breathable and prevent abrasion from boots. Some customers mention that they fit snugly but leave impressions around the ankle. Overall, these socks are highly recommended for both hiking and everyday use.
Warmth
Customers highly praise the warmth provided by these socks, with many stating that they keep their feet warm in cold weather and dry during summer. Some mention the added benefit of preventing shoes and boots from developing bad smells. However, a few customers find them pricey for the level of warmth they provide compared to other brands.
Highlights
Quality
I gave 4 stars because these socks are very well made, and very comfortable if they fit right.
Socks are so soft and well made.
And the upper part of the sock is so tight that it leaves dents in my shins and lower calf.
They are padded/reinforced in the all the right places and do not seem to smell unpleasant even when sweaty.
Price
I dont know how it works but they are worth every penny.
I bought 1 pair to try for work and if these were cheaper, i'd buy 100 pairs!
In this case -- you do get what you pay for!
$27 or whatever it was i paid does seem a bit pricey though, so i just bought a pair of smartwool socks for just a little less ... Read More
Shipping
My husband used these on a week-long hiking trip, and they were amazing!
Competitiveness
I instead will be buying alpaca wool thick boot socks instead of these because i need the extra padding after 8+hrs per day on the trail.
We’ll see how the 2 brands compare after they arrive and i have some more time to get used to wearing the both of them.
