It is sturdy feeling, works beautifully, and i am so happy i bought it. Like so many things made by dash, this waffle maker is terrific.
Cons
I have to hold it after it is flipped over so it doesn't flip back to a 45-90 degree angle. The bottom line is that this thing does not cook the waffles evenly at all. Didn't lock after flipping.

Great waffle maker and does not take up space on the counter
So great to use it’s user friendly easy to clean and so simple and versatile.
It heats up quickly, and as long as you brush on a bit of butter the finished product does not stick.
The waffles are made in under a few seconds and all i have to do is add the waffle mix.
Price
I am very pleased that for $40 i have a ceramic coated waffle maker.
This one is priced reasonable and works very well.
So not worth buying a more expensive waffle maker.
Although my husband loves belgian waffles, we have never purchased one because they are expensive.

You definitely do not want to fill up the waffle maker with too much mix you probably just want to use a half a cup of mix or a tad less
