Pros & Cons
Pros
This thing is a game changer! If you like stive top style popcorn, this is one of the easiest and most consistent ways to make it. My favorite thing is that it all stacks up in its own foot print.
This one is sleek and easier to clean. Cleaning it is a little tricky, but by no means unmanageable.
It has a measuring tray with 3 sections you use to be sure you put in the correct amount. The dome doubles as a serving bowl. I like that the lid becomes the bowl.
Cons
After 9 months the on/off switch broke. We were reduced to plugging it in and out to turn it on and off. It has so many unnecessary and poorly implemented steps and features.
Hot oil drips out of the popper. The scraper doesn't move all the kernels around. Batches taste almost burnt to really burnt even if the popcorn doesn't look it.
First of all the lid for storing does not fit. When popping popcorn, it pushes kernels into groove around edge and doesn't pop them. While popping oil leaks out of the side onto the counter. It leaks tremendously!
