Pros & Cons
Pros
Dastardly dirigibles is a set-collection card game that's easy to learn and play. The artwork on the cards is quite nice- and the iconography (denoting the various “suits”) is clear and easy to read across the table. Can't decide which ship suit i lov... Read More
The game is for kids down to age 8 and its put out by the same publisher that makes castle panic (a really good family co-op game btw) it has well-thought-out graphic design and easy-to-teach gameplay. Perfect addition to my “games to play with non-ga... Read More
Game plays and feels like a milder and less exciting version of the game bang! This is brilliant because it takes an otherwise good game and makes it better by becoming interactive.
The idea of the game is to build a dirigible through card 'pieces' the 'wild cards' aren't overpowered and don't hugely affect win or loss. There are special action cards that create more unpredictability. Many of these are attack cards of one form or... Read More
The game is played over three rounds each time trying to build an airship. The player who completes his airship first gets a 2-point bonus. The challenge with the game is that the area you build your ships on is a folded sheet of paper.

Price
It is very inexpensive, so it is a really good value, and well worth picking up for under $20.
The game has a good price point and is family-friendly.
It's a good quick and inexpensive addition to a library.
However, it is very cheap (under thirteen dollars at this time), which makes it a easy purchase.
Shipping
First of all, received this order much earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise.
Obviously, the objective is to finish your steampunk mode of transport quickly and efficiently, as the scoring is a little arca... Read More
In my 2p games it quickly becomes obvious that whoever finished their ship first would get the most points.
Another tricky part of the game is that whenever a player plays a ship part, everyone else has to play that ship part if they c... Read More
Packaging/appearance
The game comes in a smallish box, and i think amazon's price of $13ish is dead on right.
The box is about the size of a large paperback, too big for a purse, but would fit easily in a backpack or diaper bag.
My thoughts are that it's a decent game for when you don't have a lot of time and/or need something that can be carried fairly ... Read More
Competitiveness
The best game i can think of to compare it to in terms of depth is yardmaster by crash games.
Compared to a game like say, mission red planet, i think the game could use more "steampunk" theme.
