The book is boring, and has moved so very slowly that i am questioning why i bought it- something i have never done with any of his books. Come on. Just don't mock the verne. It's fine for kids books to preach non violence.

The main character is insufferable. The other characters are mind numbingly boring. Most importantly, he is obsessed with lengthy (and inaccurate) descriptions of young teen girls *.
