The bed skirt is necessary or you can see what’s inside the drawers in the “newborn” setting when the mattress is at its most lifted

I assembled it on my own at nearly 8 months pregnant—more words than ikea directions but some of the pieces weren’t labeled or were labeled in a confusing way so that slowed me down a bit
