Now the tricky part uncrimping the motor cap the back where the lead connectors are and carefully prying off the cap

The second unit had a bent brush and when i got the alignment correct again reassembly lead to a working unit

Its very likely that all the gearmotors of this series 5 to 100 rpm units suffer the same issues
