The problem is my cat is a total ditherer he sits and looks at it for a bit before drinking

When my cat is drinking he takes his time and it keeps going off its on for about 5 seconds

Unfortunately it seems the timer runs off when the cat is still in front of it unless he makes big moves to reactivate it
