Pros
This brews excellent coffee. Very consistent brew, easy to use, very classy design. Made cold brew like a champ.
At approximately $150 it’s also a bargain compared to a moccamaster, and to my palette, the coffee is just as good. This coffee is phenomenal!
The clear reservoir allows you to watch to the water as it heats to boiling. The top reservoir heats all the water before a controlled release over the grounds.
The design of this coffee pot is unique and stylish. The design is simple, refreshing, and elegant. It gets two thumbs up from this household!
Paper cones are believed to be healthier. They always seem to workout very easily and have a high tech yet simple approach to appliances. They remind me of dyson but actually work well. They’re ratio works wonderfully.
Cons
For each 500 ft in elevation, boil temp goes down 1 degree f. Does not boil properly at high altitudes. Would only boil and not start the drip process. Because water boils at a lower temp at high elevations, the water just boils and never opens up.
The hot plate stays warm for 1 hour then shuts off. Because the filter cup is inside the carafe, you have to take it out before you can pour yourself a cup. The unit just boils water and then shuts down. Maybe i'm coming down with a cold, lol.

This coffee machine is well made, and designed for you to specifically brew iced coffee directly from the pot.
I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee the system makes.
This machine has never given me any such issues and the grounds are brewed equally no dry spots .
This machine has a smallish footprint and produces tasty coffee with minimal effort.

I felt that the machine was expensive, so wait for a deal as i did.

Competitiveness
As a drip coffee maker it does what most drip coffee makers do and it does it quite well.
The cup is better than my old bonivata, and my breville grind control.
Got this one after buying two different machines costing around the same price as this and they were terrible.
A bargain compared to some other makers of similar brew quality.
