The colours in the machines name refers to the three interchangeable coloured plastic panels that come with it and allow you to customise its appearance

The footprint of the machine is smaller than the tassimo which it was to replace but it is a fair bit taller and only just fits under my wall cupboards when sat on the kitchen worktop fortunately this was not a problem as there is no need to leave clearance above the machine for the raising of any covers or for the inserting of anything from above

There are some points which detracted slightly from the dolce gusto colours machine for me and prevented me from giving it a five star rating and these were as follows• there were no sample drinks pods included with the machine so you need to buy some before you can use it

Apparently in america a speciallydesigned bin provided with the machine allows for easy separation of liquid and solid waste

The design is definitely straight from space 1999 and the striking black and white plastic machine with its changeable colour panel and very unusually shaped water tank 1 l are really striking
