Pros & Cons
Pros
This coffee machine is one of my favourite out of my 7. Makes really nice coffee with a great crema (froth) the chromed look is nice. The milk frothing option works well.
Strong streamer/ strong pressure. Rear water container holds a lot of water and is easy removed or refilled as is. Easy to sort out if you leave the pod soaking in a little slightly diluted vinegar for a day or two.
Cons
Spent days researching machine, thoroughly disappointed. Not worth repairing or replacing. The cost to have it repaired makes it a nonsense to do so.
From day one it leaked from the steam wand and we had to leave a sponge under it after every brew. The steamer doesn't foam the milk, it just heats it, so fine for a latte but not cappuccino. It's also so hard to get the filters out of the wand.
It wobbles from side to side and is unstable, there is a stabilising pad missing from underneath. It is slow and noisy to use, and the machine keeps turning off mid way through using it. The head dribbles for ages after use, even when the controls are... Read More
Water still seeping out of the edges. At first we put this down to water dripping from the steam nozzle. But condensed water was running down the electrics on the interior leading to electical shorting.
Highlights
Quality
I live with a coffee lover and they love each and every espresso or cappuccino and comment on the quality every single time.
The quality of the expresso though is very good with the tricky little de'longhi portafilter.
It takes some getting used to with the buttons on the front.
This is an auto function that happens if the unit is powered on with the steam button ( p3) also pressed in.
Price
Not sure i'd pay full price though.
This coffee machine is a bargain at the warehouse price.
Packaging/appearance
-use a large steaming jug, the frother pipe is designed for idiot-proof cappuccinos which it does great.
Competitiveness
I’ve used more expensive ‘auto’ machines that cost twice as much which don’t come close.
All in all this is an ok machine but i think i may live to regret not investing the £450 needed to buy a gaggia classic (todays... Read More
If making cappuccino you have to wait a liitle while for the machine to be steam ready because of the low powered boiler.
My previous machine was a gaggia baby which expired at 19 years old.

To resolve literally just ensure that the steam button is not pressed in when power on
