The story itself is quite fascinating. I wanted to read it again as soon as i was finished. The ending doesn't spoil the story, it's just slightly untrue to the author's stated influences.

Cons
What declare lacks in entertainment it compensates for it's ability to put me to sleep. It's a cheap trick which comes across as presumptuous. All emotional attempts seem contrived and two dimensional.
