Pros & Cons
Pros
Rechargeable nimh batteries self discharge rates vary, but are typically about 1-3% a day, for healthy cells. Missed seeing the rechargable battery switch, pleasant surprize. Works for either regular or rechargeable batteries.
The best aa, aaa, c and d cell battery charger is the rayovac 3 in 1 model ps3 but it is generally not available anymore. This tester works great for aa & aaa batteries. I have no idea whether this delkin works as well for 9v.
The delkin tester saves us time, money and makes our operation more efficeint by avoiding placing intstrumentation out in the field with noit enough battery juice to last the monitoring cycle. Functionally it performs quite well at giving you a visual... Read More
This is very accurate. My fault, but still. Knowledge is power.
Cons
This product is functionally useless. It only holds aa & aaa batteries, plus two pins for some odd type of battery. No leds illuminate until you wiggle the battery in just the right way. I suspect for less demanding use they would be more durable.... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Easy to use, small, and no tangled cables.
Like how easily and quick you can test your batteries, with a small tester which is not heavy.
A couple of weeks ago one of the aa/aaa battery terminals finally broke!
Worked great for a few hundred of the batteries, but then broke the first time i put a battery in backwards.
Price
Inexpensive and so far, works as it should!
For the price i think it's a steal.
It's the only low priced tester i've tried that seems to do something right.
Just an inexpensive and handy tester for when i have to retire rechargeable batteries.
Shipping
Delivered promptly and i use it frequently.
I bought one, it arrived in a few days, and it works excellently!
Packaging/appearance
Maybe that refers to the shipment packaging.
Competitiveness
This device is better than most other testers (at a reasonable price, low complexity, and small form factor).
I compared it to another battery tester i had and it's quite accurate.

Although i have a far more complicated battery tester which tests not only the precise voltage but also the amperage of the battery i found myself using this type more and more as time went on until i finally stopped using the other one completely about 15 years ago
